Stephen Herold is the iX leader for IBM Services in Switzerland. He leads a team responsible for customer experience & design, digital marketing platforms and digital strategy. He kickstarts client engagements with a human-centered discovery and definition approach. His projects cover a wide range of opportunity areas from industrial, consumer goods, pharmaceutical and financial service companies, to internal IBM initiatives.

Stephen has been in the business of customer experience creation and brand design, as well as development and leadership of creative teams for many years. Prior to joining IBM iX, he worked on both the agency and business sides, leading cross-functional teams in San Francisco, Zurich, Amsterdam and Hamburg, as well as creating and managing award winning user experiences for brands from various industries.

He has comprehensive expertise in brand strategy, service design, customer experience design, innovation and the management of projects, business development and operations in the agency environment. Stephen is an expert in Enterprise Design Thinking as well as agile methods. He is responsible for large teams and program budgets. He is also a public speaker and an active mentor in the local UX and design communities.
